Stripe can send email receipts automatically after one successful payment and whenever you refund one. This is accomplished by including an email address in the API request, using the email account of a Consumer object, or modifying a Payment Intent after checkout with a customer’s email address. Each compensation in the Console also includes a Receipt history, which allows you to view but rather send receipts.

Each receipt has a unique number and a link to open it in a browser. This number can be used to look up payment information.

Invoices with Receipts

When a payment was made an invoice or pays for a subscription through Stripe, a receipt is made. When you pay for a subscription or an invoice, you get a receipt that breaks down the payment into line items, special offers, and taxes.

Whenever a payment is paid back, a receipt is instantly sent to the exact email address that was used to make the original charge. You can also send a copy of both the refund receipt by hand through the Dashboard.

Email receipts for customer-owned payments work the same way as email receipts for customer objects: they are only sent if indeed the alternative Email customers for cash back is turned on in your email receipt settings.

Making receipts unique

In the settings for your email receipts, you can choose which dialect to use for receipts. In the branding settings, you can upload a custom logo. Receipts have included any public information you put in your account information, like your phone number but rather website address. Here, you can also choose not to have your endorse phone number show up on receipts. This setting also controls how frequently your support phone number shows up on the invoice email, invoice PDF, and server – based invoice page that your customers see.
